Chris Bull, the founder of CBK (Hayling Island) is one of the original pioneers of kitesurfing from the mid 90’s and has been running his kitesurfing school and shop onHayling since 1999.
The Golf CourseBeach, West Beachlands, is privately owned by Hayling Island Golf Club. A licence to kitesurf ad to teach kitesurfing has been in place with the Golf Cub for the last 20 years and Chris and his team have been integral to operating beach management throughout this time. This has maintained and strong and smooth running relationship with the land owners and also ensured that kitesurfing has continued to be available at this exceptional location.
Chris was a member of Hayling Island RNLI for a number of years so has been an integral part of the water and beach safety community here on Hayling.
Chris has had over 20 years involvement with the National Governing body of kitesurfing in the UK, the BKSA. During this time he has trained instructors, advised on beach risk assessments and also developed the BKSA youth training programme.
Chris is also Test Editor of the International kitesurfing magazine, Kiteworld, and so is definitely the man in the know when it comes to the latest available equipment. He has ridden more gear than probably anyone else in the industry over the years so his knowledge on gear and the sport is second to none! A freestyle and big air jumper himself, Chris is the UK judge for the Red Bull King of the Air event held in Cape Town every year.
CBK has hosted and helped implement the Kitesurfing Armada since it’s inception, which is the biggest UK kitesurfing event in the UK.
