Chris Bull, the founder of CBK (Hayling Island) is one of the original pioneers of kitesurfing from the late 90's, and has been running his kiteschool and shop near the The Golf Course Beach on Hayling since 1999.
The Golf Course Beach, West Beachlands is privately owned by Hayling Links Golf Club. A license to kitesurf, and to teach kitesurfing, has been in place with the Golf Club for the last 18 years, and Chris and his team have been integral to the running of the beach management throughout that time. This has maintained a strong and smooth running relationship with the landowners, and also ensured that kitesurfing has continued to be available at this exceptional location.
Chris was part of the Hayling Island RNLI team, so he is an integral part of the water and beach safety community here on Hayling.
Chris has had a 18 year involvement with the sport's governing body in the UK, the BKSA. Over this time he has trained instructors, advised on beach risk assessments, and also developed the BKSA's youth training policy, to help bring more under 18s into the sport.
He is also the Test Editor of the international kitesurfing magazine, Kiteworld, and so is definitely the man in the know when it comes to the latest available equipment! Always available for advice on equipment, no one else has as much knowledge on equipment and the sport.
